Pastor Will joined us at Bethesda in February of 2019.  He is passionate about discipleship and missions, and God is working in a great way through his leadership.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lucinda, and their four children, hunting, fishing, exercising, and traveling.

Landon has served at Bethesda since December of 2009.  He is married to Sara and has three boys: Judah, Levi, and Asher.  In addition to overseeing Bethesda's Administration and Worship Ministries, Landon is a competitive triathlete and enjoys woodworking. 

Brandon Powell joined the staff in December 2024. Brandon and his wife, Gina, met while at East Carolina University and have three grown children and a granddaughter. He enjoys history and leadership books, baseball, and golf (though he’s still working on his game). With a heart for serving others, Brandon is always open to meeting for coffee and conversation. His life verse is Galatians 2:20, which reminds him that his life and ministry are for Christ.

Jack Sheets is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He met his wife, Pat, when they were neighbors, and together they have one daughter and three grandsons. Jack’s life was transformed by the Gospel, leading him from brokenness to a deep faith in Christ. Passionate about discipleship and outreach, he has served in various ministry roles through the years, including deacon, lay pastor, and senior pastor. He loves the people of Bethesda, values the authority of Scripture, and desires to see the church grow spiritually and impact the community. A West Virginia Mountaineers fan, he also enjoys moose tracks ice cream, Baby Ruth candy bars, and the mountains.

Tony Arlington is passionate about discipleship, teaching, and serving the church community. Tony met his wife, Jackie, through mutual friends, and they have been married since 2012, raising four children together. His love for the Gospel is evident in his dedication to studying theology, leading a LifeGroup, directing the Men’s Ministry, and preaching to the youth. Having experienced a radical transformation through Christ, Tony is committed to helping others grow in their faith. He enjoys time at the beach, peanut butter M&Ms, and Jurassic Park, but most of all, he loves the people of Bethesda and the joy of worshiping and serving alongside them.

Bob Jones is dedicated to biblical truth, and fellowship. Married to Brenda, he has six children and eleven grandchildren. His faith was transformed in 1993, leading him to a life of service and devotion to God's Word. He values servant leadership, accountability, and unity within the church, emphasizing evangelism and discipleship. Bob has a soft spot for Almond Joy candy bars, vanilla ice cream, and the Tarheels. He loves spending time with his dogs and enjoys the mountains.

Jerry  is deeply committed to biblical truth and fostering unity within the church. A native of Smithfield, NC, he has been married to his high school sweetheart, Betty Jo, since 1967. Together, they have two children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. With a strong background in leadership and ministry, Jerry is passionate about helping Bethesda grow while staying grounded in Scripture. An avid NC State sports fan, he also values the friendships at Bethesda and the energy within the congregation. Above all, Jerry is dedicated to sharing the Gospel, teaching, and serving.

Jeff, originally from Chattanooga, TN, is married to Karen, and together they have five children, one granddaughter, and another on the way. They met at church and cherish their family life. Jeff is a fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and loves Mayfield’s Extreme Moose Tracks ice cream. He values the family atmosphere at Bethesda and is passionate about sharing the gospel. Jeff believes the church should protect, teach, and challenge believers, and he actively serves in hospitality, Explore Bethesda, and mission trips. His vision for the church includes fostering unity, spiritual growth, and a mission-driven congregation, trusting God’s will in all things.

Lindsay serves as the student director, overseeing the youth programs and activities with enthusiasm and dedication. She has been married to Erik for over 20 years, and they have 4 incredible children. Together they have lived in multiple states as part of their former army life, ultimately settling in Clayton, NC. Lindsay enjoys organizing, baking treats, and napping.

Meet Jackie Arlington, a Long Island transplant who brought her vibrant spirit to Clayton 16 years ago. Two days after her move, she serendipitously encountered Tony, and their inseparable journey led to over 11 years of marriage and a bustling household comprising three amazing sons, one incredible daughter, and an endearing, if somewhat clueless, family dog. They joined Bethesda in 2020, quickly becoming part of the connect team and later stepping into leadership roles for Bethesda Celebrate Recovery in 2022. Jackie is a welcoming presence at Bethesda, ready to connect and share the joy of life's adventures. 

Lucinda is married to Will, and together they have four incredible kids! Born and raised in Florida, she has lived in several states before settling in Clayton in 2019. Lucinda has a passion for decorating and crafting but openly admits that cooking isn’t her favorite. She loves the book of James and met Will at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary while pursuing her Master of Divinity. Over the years, she has faithfully served in various roles within the church.
