New Small Group Structure for Wednesday Nights
We’re making a few exciting changes this year during small group time to help every student grow in faith and community:
6th & 7th Grade Students (boys and girls in separate groups) will be using Hyfi, a new curriculum from Lifeway that teaches 12 simple, biblical truths. It’s designed to help students build a strong gospel foundation and see Jesus clearly through biblically sound content.
8th–12th Grade Students will participate in topical tracks that speak to real-life challenges, including:
-How to read the Bible in context
-How to share the gospel
-How to make an impact in the community
These groups are led by godly men and women who live out the gospel and have created a one-of-a-kind study to truly disciple students—not just to gain knowledge, but to grow in wisdom.
We cannot wait to see how God works through these tracks this semester!

FUGE Camp
June 15–19, 2026
Location: Mission FUGE at Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA
MFuge is more than just a summer camp—it’s a life-changing mission experience designed to help students grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and learn what it looks like to live on mission every single day.
During MFuge, students are placed into small groups for Bible study, worship, and local ministry sites. Each day, they will head into the community to serve in hands-on ways, with opportunities such as: working with children, serving in food banks, painting and construction projects, yard work and community clean-up
These ministry sites allow students to put their faith into action while learning to serve others with humility, compassion, and purpose.
The cost breakdown for FUGE Camp is as follows: The total cost of camp this year is $460. While this reflects an increase from previous years, the pricing is consistent with current economic conditions. The required FUGE Camp deposit has increased to $125 per student; however, thanks to a generous donation to Student Ministry, each student’s deposit will remain $75, with the remaining $50 per student being covered by the gift.
In February, the church will host a fundraiser, and all funds raised will be distributed evenly among students who have paid a camp deposit. Historically, this fundraiser has significantly reduced the overall cost per student due to the generosity of our church family. Once fundraiser credits have been applied, updated invoices will be sent to each family through Subsplash. The remaining camp balance will be due by May 15.
Please know that we never want finances to be a barrier for a student attending camp. If financial assistance would be helpful for your family, I would be happy to connect and discuss scholarship options.

Adult Volunteers
At Bethesda Students, we prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone, especially minors. To ensure a secure environment, all volunteers and staff undergo background checks, and we adhere to a strict Minor Protection Policy. We maintain a two-adult minimum for all student activities to provide accountability and safety. Additionally, all volunteers and staff participate in annual training to stay informed about the best practices for protecting those in our care. These steps are part of our commitment to providing a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
